Personal, Social & Health Education (PSHE)

Learning and undertaking activities in PSHE education contribute to achievement of the curriculum aims for all young people to become:

successful learners who enjoy learning, make progress and achieve;
confident individuals who are able to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives;
responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society.

PSHE is a statutory requirement which we believe is an important part of the education and development of each pupil.

The school is a member of the PSHE association and is recognised by them as being a school committed to excellence in PSHE education.

PSHE education also makes a major contribution to the statutory responsibilities on schools to:

promote children and young people’s wellbeing;
achieve the whole curriculum aims;
promote community cohesion;
provide careers education and sex education.

 The school has 3 PSHE days set aside for this academic year and the dates are listed below:
