All are invited to join Mrs Sage after school on Wednesdays at 3 p.m.

In the Summer term, the small school garden produced some delicious produce.  Mwila can be seen sorting out the new potatoes, while Sarah proudly displays just a small amount of the strawberries which were harvested.

Since September, several pupils have turned up on Wednesdays after school.  Unfortunately, some sessions have been postponed because of staff meetings.

Bailey and Sarah arrived on one wet October afternoon.  They enjoyed cooking a squash and tasting the buttery vegetable.  Sarah had previously prepared and cooked a round courgette, producing a plate of vegetable which could be served as a side dish and creating a simple ratatouille-type product.

There will be less activity in the garden this term and early next year.  However, from February onwards keen gardeners will be able to plant seeds in order to plant them out in Spring.  We hope to grow a wider variety of vegetables in 2010.

Pupils are welcome to come along to Gardening Club meetings most Wednesdays after school.

LET'S GET GROWING TOGETHER!

Lady Macbeth: Blood

Blood splattered across my hand
Marks that will not be gone
For all the perfumes in the land
Cannot change what I have done

Blood trickles down along my arm
I cannot rest at night
I murdered sleep, I murdered calm
I believed my decisions were right

Blood soaking through my hair and skin
The past is drowning me
Why did I let this all begin?
This is not how it was meant to be.
