School Clubs

Clubs2

At St Edmund's we take pride in the wide range of extra-curricular activities that the school has to offer.

We strongly believe that a greater sense of belonging, respect and achievement can be accomplished through extra-curricular activities.   Participation in these can have a great impact on a young person's life, often unlocking hidden talents and raising self-esteem.    Clubs, trips, productions, groups and societies are diverse and tailored to meet the needs of all our students.  There is always something for everyone to get involved in during their time at St Edmund's.

"The curriculum is tailored to match the aspirations and interests of all pupils  The breadth of pupils' experiences, supported by an extensive extra-curricular programme, leaves pupils very well prepared for life in modern Britain."   Ofsted 2016

Please note that there are no football clubs held after school during the summer term.

Tennis Club

Due to popularity students who would like to attend Tennis Club must sign up at break-time every Wednesday morning with the PE Department as places are limited to 16 participants.
Students who are successful in signing-up will attend Tennis Club which finishes at Canoe Lake at 5pm.  Those unsuccessful will finish school at the end of the normal school day.

It is pleasing to see such a fantastic interest in this extra-curricular activity.

"The extra-curricular provision is as diverse as the interests of the pupils and ranges from Dr Who club, through fencing, book club and chess club, offering pupils a vast range of opportunities for personal development."
Ofsted 2016
